The Rorschach Awards Part 1: NEED NOMINATIONS

It’s now been 5 1/2 months since I started Rorschach Reviews, and what a great 5 1/2 months they have been.  In celebration of this, my 100th Post (Yay!), I wanted to take the time to recognize some of my wonderful fellow movie bloggers in the first part of my annual Rorschach Awards.  This will consist of five categories for each of which I will soon announce five nominees.  These categories will be:

Theater Junkie:

Awarded to the reviewer with the most consistent record of reviewing new theatrical releases.

Best Segment:

Awarded to the most interesting/entertaining unique segment within a reviewer’s blog

Best Networker:

Awarded to the Blogger that most effectively utilizes and expands upon their connection to the blogging community.

Best Layout:

Awarded to the Blogger with (you guessed it)  The most visually pleasing blog layout!

Blogger of the Year:

Exactly what it sounds like.

Here’s how it’s going to work…

Starting now, I am going to take nominations from all of you of bloggers/segments you feel deserve to be mentioned for each category.  Once all of those are in, I will cut it down to five for each category and post the official nominees.  Who picks the winners?  You do!  Each category will be accompanied by a poll that you and anyone else can use to vote on winners for each award.  After five days have passed, I will announce the winners.

What do you get for winning?

The first four are simply for bragging rights (who doesn’t love those?) but the 1st and 2nd place winners for Blogger of the Year will respectively get $20 and $10 gift cards to a theater of their choice.  Not much, I know, but I am but a poor college student still.

Please take a little time to send me your nominations either in the comments below or through email at aswinn92@live.com.  You are more than free to nominate yourself, and I will do my best to fit everyone into an appropriate category.  That being said, I apologize in advance if I’m not able to include you but that doesn’t mean I don’t love you anymore!

About r361n4

I'm a student at the University of Washington Majoring Business. I've always loved movies and my goal is to work on the financial side of the film industry. Until then though, I figure I'll spare my friends from my opinions and shout them from a digital mountaintop for anyone who's interested. After all, if a tree falls in a forest and nobody blogs about it, does it really happen?

I haven’t really thought about the rest, but the one that came straight to my mind without even thinking about it was Best Networker – Andy from Andy Watches Movies 🙂
